As thousands of Warkaris (devotees) embark on their sacred pilgrimage from Shaniwar Wada, Pune to Pandharpur, Omkar Ghate along with Ghate Group & Team, has launched a long-term food and water distribution initiative to provide free, hygienic food and clean drinking water to both male and female devotees at the starting point of their journey. Designed as a permanent initiative, this program will continue for all future Waris, ensuring consistent support for pilgrims year after year. By preventing dehydration, exhaustion, and hunger, this initiative upholds the values of Seva (selfless service) and strengthens the tradition of community support. With dedicated distribution points near Shaniwar Wada, volunteers from Ghate Group & Team actively serve nutritious food and water, ensuring smooth and respectful service for all Warkaris. Future expansion plans include increasing food and water distribution points along the Pune-Pandharpur route, collaborating with medical teams, and volunteers, and introducing mobile food and water units for better accessibility. Speaking about this noble cause, Omkar Ghate stated, "The Wari is a journey of faith, devotion, and unity. Every pilgrim should be able to begin this sacred walk with nourishment and hydration.
